hey all, i have an 04 with stock 6cdchanger hooked with all new speakers a kicker 4 ch amp, 2 amped subs plus its running through a clean sweep. Today while driving, if i put the volume past 12 it would stop playing for about 20 secs, come back, then cut out again. You could hear a little bit but it was almost unoticable. My car has also been sitting in the garage for almost a month while i was at school. If you all have any idea of what it could be it would help me in trying to fix the problem. I apreciate any help you guys can give me.

Does it start to sound bad just before it cuts out? If so, you are overdriving the amp.

Or you have miswired something and it cuts out because the amp gets hot.

i forgot to mention that there is no speaker connectedin the front left door, maybe it cuts off becuase the amp is missing that channel?

The amp is probably built with a thermal shutdown circuit on the output drivers. Make sure the amp is intended to drive your speakers impedance.
