I have a 2010 Mazda 3 2.0l non-sky active and was just wondering if there were any camshaft upgrades or can I just use the Mps, 2.5l or 2.3l camshaft, just to see if there is any power difference.

Looking for more power options!!!!!!!

cheers

You're not going to want to hear this, but if you want more power, buy a different car. The 2.0 is the base model made to get good gas mileage as a daily commuter.

If you want Mazdaspeed3 power, then sell your car and get one. At this point, they aren't expensive at all.

But to answer your question directly, the MS3 engine is a totally and completely different design than the MZ3. So no, the cams won't work.

Your not going to like this answer either.

Cam swapping is a misguided adventure. No one on any forum, platform or other internet portals takes the time and expense to "roll" up a factory camshaft to see what all the engineering specifications are. (You can't just mismeasure the lobes and know what they are) They just assume and guess. The most predominate in dual cams is swapping the exhaust cams. Point is for any gains made if any and to go to all the trouble swapping OEM cam(s) is so small it would be hard to even see on repeatable back-to-back Dyno tests. Most developed performance cams for 4 bangers only yield at best 2-4hp increase by themselves. You can achieve that with stock cams and doing camshaft timing adjustments if the parts are available to do that ?
