This may sound crazy, but has anyone seen or tried to mix the red and clear taillights? Such as having the red outside lights (the ones mounted to the quarter panels) and leaving the inside ones (the ones on the trunk lid) clear? Just wondereing what it would look like

I wondered the same thing because It's pretty easy to get the outside clear tailights the inside ones are a little harder.

I guess the black/clear reverse light housings make a heck of a difference... but hard to acquire...

what i'd like to see is somebody with the clear "s" style back-up lights retained, while they stick in the led portion of those ebay altezzas. that would look worlds classier than those stupidly huge-ass back-up lights that come with them.

Personally, I don't think the red outside lights would look all that bad, as long as you had a black car. That way the inner light would blend into the body color, and you wouldn't really notice that the tail lights were different.

I wouldn't do it. Get some LED tails and be done with it. I will say, it is different though. What if you painted/molded the inner portion so it looked as if the circle was the only part? That might look killer.

People have done some photoshops of painted tails, and they looked sweet. The problem is that if you looked at it from any angle but directly behind, it would look fucked up.
