mileage is better with the 3 by a significant amount mostly due to direct injection when compared to the WRX, I dont know the mileage rating of the Ralliart though I would imagine AWD drive train losses and extra weight would make it worse than the 3 as well. Cost on the Speed 3 is definitely better in Canadia Land by a few grand.

Cost on a speed3 here in the states is WAY cheaper than the STi and Evo.

$10-12,000 less than an STI $13-17,000 less than the Evo

I'd say NO to AWD

they compared it to the ralliart and the WRX though, whats the price difference on those models?

[/quote]They posted the price differences for the wrx and the ms3. Basically both cars pimped out and the ms3 came out like 3 grand cheaper. There was no pricing for the ralliart

not really sure what ito is thinking

I think it is very cool that since the Speed3 came out not 1-car company produced a car in the same price bracket that could compete against the Speed3.There is a few very nice car came out recently<BMW 135-for 1>but they either to expensive or just a car I would never buy<Chevy HHR SS-Chevy Cobalt SS>I think Mazda hit the nail on the had with this car and we could only hope that the next generation 3-series will be as good or even better then this series of 3s.ZOOM-ZOOM.

I hope the Mazdaspeed3s are still in production once I finish the first of my two programs at school. I was originally going for the RN program, but there's a waitlist. So I got on the waitlist, and am studying to be a Psychiatric Technician for now, and work as one while I wait for the RN program waitlist to go down (I'm currently #525, they accept 100 students every August and January).

The PT program takes 3 semesters, so I'll be out in December 2009. If the popularity of the Speed3 keeps up, I hope the Speed3 will be around for a few more years. At least until I can afford one :D

semi off topic question: what general trade in values should I expect when trading a modded 2004 Mazda3i (CAI, CB exhaust) with high mileage (80k miles) at a dealership?
