see. i looked in the manual, but i couldn't find it. i found where it said h11 in the manual, but... obviously that didnt work.

i was looking at the pdf from mazdausa, so it would have been easy to just page down past it on accident tho.

on a side note, i was a bit surprised we didn't get our own manual. i know, its mostly the same car, and it wouldnt be worth it to print a new one, its just one of those little "exclusivity" things im surprised mazda missed out on, like putting the specific car number somewhere visible.

oh well, shes beautiful and goes crazy fast, im more than happy.

The Hoen bulbs do match perfectly, and last. I have used them on 2 of my BMW's in the past with good luck. When I got them for the mazda, I had bad luck. The first pair had end cap paint flaking off, so I sent them back. After a week of using the second pair, I could see the paint flaking off in the fog light housing. I notified them and sent them back. I don't know if the quality has gone down over the last couple of years or what. I have been using Sylvania Silverstars 9006 with good results for the last month. They match the HID's good enough for me. I'm also using Silverstar 9005 as my high beam bulbs. For the Amber turn sisnals, I'm using chrome coated titaniums. They light up amber, but have a chrome coating. These bulbs are hard to find. If you need #'s let me know. They are hard to change in the front. You have to drop the wheel well liners to access the bulbs. The rears are easy. If you get the Hoens, keep an eye on them. Good luck. :p

Sorry, I corrected my post. After looking, I had the 2 numbers mixed. It is a 9006 bulb I'm using for the fogs. :x

I used H11s in my 'speed3. Worked like a charm.

weird, cause there was no way h11s would work on mine...

are there 2 seperate bulbs? cause i know h11 is whats listed in the exterior lighting post too.

no 2007 mazda hatch uses the H11's. If you look in the manual, it says what the foglight bulb is acording to the style of the light housing. the round ones were H11's, the new style on the 2007's are 9006's

Yeah, don't listen to me, I'm an idiot. I don't know why I had it in my head that I used H11s for the fog lights. I just dug out my Silverstar boxes, and I used 9006 (HB4U) for the fogs and 9005 (HB3U) for the high beams in my car. VERY sorry for the misinformation, but if I hadn't checked the packages, I'd have sworn on my grandfather's grave that is what I had put in my car.

So...I basically have nothing new to offer this thread. Highs are 9005 (HB3U) and Fogs are 9006 (HB4U).

What I want to know is has anyone found replacement side markers with clear or chrome bulbs yet. I wanted to replace the orange bulbs, but you can't replace them. The bulb and lens is all one unit. Why would they do something like that? So pretty much if a bulb burned out, you gotta replace everything $$$. I was going to try and disect the lens from the bulb housing, but figured I better not. I'd only screw it up, just like everything else I get my hands on. Sorry to get off the fog light agenda.

there are replacement side markers available, just check ebay, it wouldnt need to be a mazda specific item. the stockers are just on with a lil 2 sided tape right?

There's no tape. The fenders are cut out for them. You push the lens to the side, and pull out. The lens and bulb come out, but theres a specific hole cut in the fender. I don't know if you could just shove an aftermarket in there.
