yes. if the intake is found to be the cause of the problem, they will void your warranty.

they will void your warranty now if you hydrolock your motor.

the only thing that is warrantied on that intake is the intake itself and the labor if it was installed at mazda.

yes since they have to connect the maf to the new intake.

however, i would install it myself. the maf wire issue is easily ressolved.

Actually, there is no warranty on the mazdaspeed CAI, they are all "orange" accessories i.e. sold as is without warranty. It even says that in the broucher that they are not responsible for defects.

no, it's a green level which is warrantied for 12 months or 12,000 miles.

it does say though that labor is not warrantied. so to this question again

so if i pay the dealer to install it and then i have a problem with the maf or the maf wires would it be covered under warranty?

no, according to the green level warranty, labor is not covered.

I got a MS CAI for xmas after the service department/warranty lady told me that it has warranty even if I install it myself. I don't have it installed yet but want to asap. Seeing as I live in Canada and we are prone to nasty weather this time of year should I hold off until spring or does it matter since it comes with the splash guard/heat shield?
