Could it be done, will the motor and transmission from a Mazdaspeed3 directly fit in a Mazda3 sedan?
A direct swap instead of turboing my own car sounds better to me for some reason, and i know it is not a very good idea financially but im just curious now.

No reason it can't be done, a lot of work and money though.
Remember axles, wiring harnesss, ECU, fuel system and so on will probably be needed also. How to accomodate a TMIC or change to FMIC. The Speed3 has bracing for increased body stiffness to accomodate it power and handling. There's more.

Anyway I would like to see it done.

also - our hood has a bigger bulge for the TMIC, i guess if you went the FMIC route you wouldn't have to worry about it - can it be done? yes of course...how much will it cost? a lot more than you'd guess to make it behave properly :)
