I think the answer you get is in what the owner has....

So True Red, i owned a 04 Silver so when i bought the speed i didnt want another silver, then black sucks to take care of, and cosmic blue is still questionable- it might have grown on me but it doesnt effect the eye as i wanted, true red is brilliant

I would have wanted White, peral white but wasnt offered in the states, and didnt want to pay like $4k+ for a decent paint job

I have, and like the silver. One good thing about that color is it hides alot of imperfections or if you have a dirty car. I would have liked to see a different blue color option (brighter blue).

I really like the silver and the blue. I really wanted Cosmic Blue or Sunlight Silver when I first started looking, with CB being my first choice. There were no CB available in GT w/o nav, so I went with the silver. Looking back, it was a great choice. The silver has really grown on me, it is an awesome color. Nice and sleeper, doesn't show dirt badly, etc.

I wished that Mazda would have offered a darker hue of blue, and orange. I have seen a couple of the orange 3s, and its a really good looking color on there.

I love the black mica. It is hard to take care of though. Biggest problem: water spots. I hate sprinklers.

My personal thoughts

Cosmic Blue - Sexy, shifting color... Beautifully emphasizes the light carvings and subtle edges of the car... Has a classy touch, but doesnt complement the black apron and light trims
Black Mica - A nice deep metallic black... Slick color, but hides the subtle design carvings. Also doesnt help with the black trim.
True Red - WOW, this color POPS. The only red Id ever consider owning, had it not been so attention grabbing. Complements the black trim VERY well (Chicago Bulls/Air Jordans anyone? :))
Sunlight Silver - A basic silver color. As silver as silver can get. But does a VERY nice job emphasizing the design and subtle carve outs of the body. Does an amazing job at complementing the black trim as well.

Hence if there are no other choices for 2008. Sunlight Silver is my favorite.

You forgot the Crystal White Pearl for us Canadians. :D

White is another one that would hide some of the detail, but its a gorgeous color, and great contrast to black... personally the only reason why I wouldnt spring for it is the fact that some plastic panels may "yellow" after a while.

At least thats been my experience with white cars... are pearl whites of mazda any different?

White was/is my 1st choice and that was why I got the pearl white. True red would have been my pick if the white was not available.
