Instead of ordering them from random vendors, you could have gotten em from us with no hassle within a few days.

I tried to call, but your phone just kept ringing. And I sent an email to bigbrakeparts.com. Although it was my fault, you lost out because you didn't bother to buy your domain name in .com also.

Wasn't available in .com a while ago, but we actaully have .com now, try it...

Email too? Now you gotta get that ringer turned up or send it to vmail. I used shopping.google.com after I got fed up with PG. I don't recall, were you on that list?

Anyway, HawkPadsDirect says that these (HB549F.702-1, HB571F.605-8) are the right parts. Can you verify?

So this is the wrong rear part number?
HB478F.605

Is it just me or do the front pads get worn down ridiculously quick. Ive had my ms3 for 2 years and am about to replace the front pads for the second time. and it seems besides online noone seems to carry pads except the dealer which charges an insane amount. is there a pad besides Oem that I can get the same great stopping power but for less Buck... would anyone reccomend the EBC Greenstuff?

i had Greenstuffs on my Prelude many years back and was happy with them; i haven't run them on the Speed3 though.

i've been running Hawk HPS on the fronts and rears and am very happy with them for daily driving and auto-xing. They've worn really well (~20,000 miles and still a lot of pad material remaining), and they're only around $80 for the fronts

Hey everyone, quick question:

I ordered a full set of Hawk HPS (front and rear).
http://www.hawkpadsdirect.com/Hawk-HPS-F-R-Brake-Pads-Mazda-3-Mazdaspeed-p/hb549f.702-1_hb571f.605-8.htm

Is what I got, to be exact.

So the boxes indicate rears are part # HB571F.605 and fronts are part #HB549F.702.

Just got back from my mechanic - he says the backs went on no problem, but the fronts were too small and didn't fit right.

Upon closer examination of the front pads themselves, I noticed the fronts have part #HB449 HPS etched on the back of the front pads. This would indicate to me that I have the wrong pads - in fact, when I look up hb449 on that site I get this, http://www.hawkpadsdirect.com/Hawk-HB449F-679-HPS-Brake-Pads-Ford-Focus-SVT-p/hb449f.679-1.htm

.. for a Ford Focus SVT.

Am I crazy - or did I get the wrong pads in the right box? Or is my mechanic doing something wrong? Interested in input :p

Installed Hawk Performance Ceramics a couple weeks back. They have been great. A lot less brake dust and performance has been the same as stock for daily driving - which is what I do 95% of the time :)

Gary,

How are you with getting parts into Canada? Shipping and brokerage is a KILLER.

The front brakes on my 08 speed3 are doneski. Two sets of RE050A's and front brakes? It was a great year of driving.

I'd be looking for OE style blanks, and HPS. Can anyone confirm that the HPS feel like new stock brakes, with less dust? This is the common consensus i've been getting from them.
