Hey guys, just waiting for the new auto-x season to start up and i cant wait to run my new 3 in it, its the base model sedan with no mods but it seems to be pretty peppy around the turns, so far the past 2 years ive been running my 1985 Trans Am with the performance package but my question is this, what other cars would a stock mazda3 do well against? i know it would get stomped by an STi but just wondering what other cars would it equal too?

Thanks, Trent

EDIT: not sure if this has been posted before i probably should have done some research so my apologies if it has been.

Mazda3's run in HS against cars like the base Mini, Honda Civic and other smaller cars. The Mini has been a bit faster, but the 3 is certainly capable in the hands of a good driver. You won't be going up against too many STi's.

Put your location in your profile so we can see where you are from.

I'm battling with 2 Civics, a Lotus, a Mini, and a Protege. I'm probably forgetting one...After the first event of the season in January, I was in first. After February's event, I was in second. Stupid rain lol. Anyway, I'd say both the Civics are my biggest competition (they're both 2002 coupes).

Must be really good drivers. Are the civics modded within the H class allowances?

A Lotus is considered HS?

Not HS. I don't know the stock class for a Lotus. She's in Novice Ladies with me, so it doesn't matter the stock class if you're in Novice Ladies. As long as the person is in the same class (like Novice Ladies), I have to look out for them.
