Anyone applied for Mazda Owner Renewal Program when purchasing a second Mazda in Canada? Does one have to completely pay off the first financed Mazda first to become eligible to this program when purchasing a second Mazda?

Financed my 2004 M3GT for 3 years in February of 2004, then financed another M3GS in June of 2005 for 3 years as well. Got an additional 0.5% discount on the financing rate from Scotia Bank because of the loyalty program, ended up paying 0.9% on the second M3.

Do i need to phone Mazda to arrange this or the dealer phone Mazda to arrange this? My sales asked me to phone them and asked Mazda to write a letter to my dealer as a proof of approval. Seemed like so much hassle.
