Does the engine immobilizer feature include an interior flashing light that would deter a break-in? If yes, is the light fairly apparent?
As to the question of it being very apparent, no! With the recessed gauges the light is not visible on some angles.
I wouldn't worry about break ins too much, Mazda has never been in the top 10. With the intergrated set-up there is not much for someone to steal, most go after the radio (aftermarket units big on list).
Owner in the U.S may be a bigger target if equipped with GPS system. I understand that people are stealing the LCD's from these units now.

All in all if someone want to get in they will. Just nice that Mazda's are not such a big target yet.

I see my dash light flashing with no problem. And my windows are all tinted 20%.

Um, not to cause trouble, but our cars are effectively out of reach for the common car booster. Sure, the club is a visual deterrent, but since our stereo is integrated and almost all new cars come with an immobilizer, I expect any car thief worth their salt would just stay away from it. It's not worth the trouble to steal this car. The wheels maybe, but the car itself is just more trouble than, say, a 1995 Honda Accord without an immobilizer and whose parts are easily sold out.
