I did a search for this, but couldn't find any info pertaining to the Generation-3 Mazda 3.

Just wondering if anyone with a Gen-3 has done this quick mod? What are your results?

I just got a Gen-3, turbo diesel, 6-speed manual, and am finding that the throttle response is quite slow. It's affecting my downshift rev-matching -- I've got to really mash on the throttle to get the revs back up before engaging the clutch. At first, I was thinking that the slow throttle response is because of the turbo lag, but after doing research, it seems that other Mazda 3 owners of non-turbo engines have the same gripe.

I was looking at the Sprint Booster to adjust the "pep" of the throttle response, but seeing as that device is $300, I'd like to try this throttle body grounding mod first.

So, any Generation-3 (BM series) owners have done the throttle grounding mod?
