Hi there, i just wanted to know if my mazda 3 2005 is compatible with rds. I wanna buy a ipod fm transmitter that works with rds but i don't know if its compatible.

i don't know what an rds is, but i think this is a :repost: they sell wires to connect i-pods to the back of the head-unit or u can use an FM transmitter (i have one).

rds is radio data transfe that allows you to see title of songs playing on the radio. is mazda raio compatible with that???

to be honest i am not positive. i do not think so though... i know that some of the radio stations around me broadcast the titles of songs and such, but i never see them in my car. i am pretty sure, however, that the transmitter will still work just fine. u just won't be able to see the titles of the songs.

crazyfast is correct. The Mazda stock radio does NOT support RDS. That xmitter will work just fine, you just won't get the song titles.

no stock mazda radio supports rds.

which is a downer since even the freaking vw rabbit has rds.

come on mazda, get with the program.

I have a 2005 3HB with single CD and no mp3 function and I have RDS. But it won't display any text from the CD played. Only messages from the radio stations.
