I loaned out my 1996 2300 during this last really cold snap because the heater didt work he decided he would replace my thermostat ad do me a favor well now when coolant is poured it immediately leaks from somewhere i cant see exactly where it pours out the temp was like 16 degrees the day he took the thermostat off could somethig have frozen maye the water pump or freeze plug

Is the person "who did you a favor" a competent DIY? Perhaps they forgot the seal?

wrong sub forum altogether... but, pop the hood and look; we can't do it from a computer screen. & it's mainly installation error if he didn't verify no leaks after the job was performed. Good luck!

now if something else broke down that wasn't the fault of the new installation of the thermostat... it's just due to old age i guess.
