Here is what I have. Replica of the real thing at a fraction of the cost. I bought mine through a group buy, but you can find it on eBay as well.

Search Mazdaspeed AT knob and you'll find them on Ebay, about $50 shipped. I put on a Momo Air Race (alloy/perforated leather) shift knob, it uses plastic fittings and set screws...stays nice and tight and matches the interior nicely.

I know member krazyk86cu is selling a few AT knobs in the Classified section:
http://www.mazda3forums.com/index.php?topic=133690.new#new

He bought my faux Mazdaspeed knob after I had second thoughts...worked out well.

I have two for sale as we speak, on is for sale for practically nothing, but if you want a really nice knob, check out my monsterknob I have for sale. I'll post a pic of it in a sec. The monsterknob has the correct threads for the automatic 3. It screws right on and looks very nice. I have one barely used. Let me go snap a pic of it on my 3.

My 3 is an automatic, I just have a shift surround and boot off of a Speed3 on there. Both knobs look good with or without the boot. Currently I have the knob Spike posted earlier in the thread. Although I didn't realize how gorgeous this monster knob really is

Monsterknob:

Universal knob with blue led's

If you wanted both I could give a shipping discount and throw in some free atx pedals.

the Monsterknob is $30 + shipping and paypal and the universal one is $10. I'll do $40 + shipping & paypal if you want both and throw in the pedals free. I'll help with the shipping costs if you buy both.

just let me know :) My F/S thread is in my sig

HOLY CRAP I BROUGHT A THREAD BACK FROM THE DEAD OOPS!!!

Here ya go,

Special thanks to Scott Chambers at Sunlight Customs.

I now have a very nice highly polished Shift knob on my automatic. It is high quality, very nice to say the least. Fitment is perfect.

There are other colors besides chrome.

These pictures will show you exactly what I am talking about.

If you are in the market for a really nice shift knob, please check these out, you will not be dissapointed. Different finishes and engraving are Aval. upon request.

I like it!

And Krazyk86cu. Is that a shift boot on an auto? I like it. Where did you get the boot and knob from? Think they have them in green?

I think he got it off eBay...it's a boot and shifter surround from a MS3.

I have a TWM aluminum Type R since there's no point in getting a weighted knob on an auto. Just wish they came in different colors, but that's not a big deal. It also looks like it's sitting pretty high, but it's at the same height as the stock knob. The OEM ATX knob is longer so it covers more of the chrome shift rod. I think I paid like $57 for it (summer sale + student discount). :)

I do not think it is, Sunlight Customs has the answer and they can make shifters to fit the auto like I posted.

Sunlight Customs doesn't have a website that I can find. I want to see some pics of their work powdercoated black and I could find many on that thread they have.

It's not the same thread size, the automatic Mazda 3 shifter is M8 x 1.25 as compared to M10 x 1.25 on the manual shifter.

Our line of aluminum shift knobs could be a good option for an automatic where the extra weight of stainless steel does not make a difference. You can check them out at www.twmshiftknobs.com.
