I am in Glenwood Springs, CO but I would drive down for a meet if I can make it work schedule wise. My parents live in Parker so I could stop by and visit them and kill two birds with one stone. Just snagged a couple new toys for the car for Christmas so I've got to go show them off some where haha

Wow MS3_Mafia that is going to be one SICK MS3! I agree with you on white... if they would bring white speed3's to the states I would be buying one in a heartbeat... White with black rims mmmmmmm. I can't wait to see your speed3!

I am currently shopping around... my postman HIT my car and scratched the hell out of one of my Shinka's and now I have to restore/replace it. The best part is the post office and the cop on scene said the post office would cut me a check and I'd have money for the damages within 2 weeks... its now been 3 months and they have stopped taking my calls and at this point I have to get a lawyer :( With new rim/mount ballance and aligment the damage came to almost 1k!

Right now all I have done to my car is removed the side moulding, tinted the windows, RX-8 Shinka rims, CAI, AuxMod + Kuda mount for MP3 player, Yellow Fogs, replaced all interior lights + license plate lights with LEDs, and LED 3rd brake light. Parts I have sitting in my living room that will be installed in Spring are Brembo Cross drilled/slotted rotors, Hawk HPS pads, Rotora Stainless Steel brake lines, Eibach Prokit, CrzyOne1 8" subwoofer cabinet that mounts in Jack Compartment (Still have to buy an amp). I plan on buying a HID kit when I install the rest as well. The TWM STS is on my short list as well :D

I hope to see everyone at the meet!

Yea mine had some ugly bumped holes drilled into it :( There was a bit of a corkscrew of painted polyurethane left from the sloppy drill job, I was able to actually stuff the slop back into the hole and make it look pretty good but it still annoys me. Wish I would have been able to snag the car before they went crazy with the drill, the car just looks SO much better without the front plate. Been nearly 2 years now and no grief from the cops either.

I'm coordinating with some of the Colorado Springs pirates since I'll be down there looking at houses. Think the plan is to meet up in the Springs and roll up to Red Rocks as a group. Send me a PM if any other Colorado Springs guys are going and we can meet up there. Otherwise I'll see you guys at Red Rocks!

I missed you guys at the Red Rocks meet, did anyone else attend? It was HUGE, kinda hard to find people hahaha. I had a peice of paper with "DemonOfTheFall" on my dash, but I wasn't at my car, I was wandering around drooling over the other rides there!

I met up with some Pirates in Woodland Park and took the back road through Deckers to Red Rocks... damn that is a fun drive!! I was worried I would have problems keeping up but the little 3 did great, I was following a bug-eye WRX hatch and I was surprised that while he was definitely quicker in the straights he was only walking away from me very slowly, and as soon as we got to any turns I was right up on his ass again. The guy leading was in a Volvo V70-R, that is a pretty sick sleeper ride, quick as hell and great through the twisties!

Hope to see you guys at a Colorado Mazda meet soon!

P.S. - I'll post up some pics from the Red Rocks meet shortly

Things are going to be pretty hectic for me over the next month, going to be apartment shopping and such so I will be down in the CO Springs area quit a bit. Let me know a date and I'll try to make it work. Otherwise after May 1st, I'll be in the springs full time and definitely down for a meet then.

After I get settled in the place I'll probably be doing a cruise and a BBQ afterwards or something, I know a bunch of the pirates are planning on coming and I'd love to get some of the mazda guys there as well. I'll keep everyone posted on details as it gets closer.

I'll be living in the Springs full time after May 5th so I'm definitely game any time after that date.

P.S. - If you guys don't mind me asking what kind of rates are you paying for insuring your speed3's? I am kicking around the idea of picking one up after the move

Are you declining some of the coverage? I just did a quote through progressive I am 23 as well and it quoted me $250 for the default coverage. Right now I have full coverage and its running me $140 for my regular 3!

I got a quote from esurance but they don't have the speed3 listed only the speed6!

EDIT: After reading up a bit I would be pretty wary of esurance. Sounds like they are little more than a scam, lots of complaints of raising rates after the policy takes effect, unauthorized charges, approving claims then either not paying them, disputing them or only paying a portion of the cost. And lots and lots of BBB complaints and filings.

I did find that if I put my girlfriend and myself on the same plan, and do renters insurance as well I could bring both of our rates down a LOT.

After getting some quotes I have come to realize I can be paying much less for car insurance but the pricing for the speed3 is still pretty damn steep. I got a quote for a VW GTI and its like $9 more a month than my 3. The speed6 was like $21 more and the Speed3 was nearly twice as much. :(

I'm 24, Male, last speeding ticket I got was reduced to a non moving violation, so I have zero accidents or infractions in the past 4+ years.

After talking to a couple insurance agents the best quotes I have got so far are from Progressive and go as follows.

2005 Mazda3 + 2004 Golf + Renters Insurance = $185
2007 GTI + 2004 Golf + Renters Insurance = $194
2007 Mazdaspeed6 + 2004 Golf + Renters Insurance = $206
2007 Mazdaspeed3 + 2004 Golf + Renters Insurance = $316!?!?!

And it has been the same across the board! I have got quotes from State Farm and Geico both pretty close. I got a super cheap quote from esurance like $168 for a speed3 + the Golf (gf's car) but after reading up on them I certainly wouldn't go that route.
