Does anyone else with a 2.3L have a lifter tick at startup? It only does it when its cold and lasts maybe half a second, until the oil gets pumping. Has anyone found that using a different oil or filter helps solve this?

Actually, a cheap motorcraft filter from wal mart worked best for me. Every oil is similar in this regard, though Amsoil and M1 seem to help a bit.

When it is below -10... the lifter ticking is very loud... I try to let my car sit running until the oil heats up a bit.
