i came across a small import tuner shop around china town and these guys have knock off aem cai's for mazda3's. same bends, same pipe (2.5'' i think) its just not all polished with the AEM logo. (obv.) so yeah, the guy told me 130 for it, which in Canada, is less than half of the AEM cai. One problem, it doesnt come with a filter. (tricky asians) What filter should i buy that will give me the most noticeable increase in power and tq... all this being said, i dont prefer the AEM cai's, i like the f2's.. dyno says it all but they are not in stock and by reading around this forum they are never in stock? so i will settle for this aem knock off specially for the low price. any suggestions for the filter ..?

aem dryflow. or k&n if you're so inclined.

fuck dude, just buy a used aem cai here on the forums. there's like three in the buy/sell section now and then you can bypass those "tricky asians"...

filter isn't gonna mean anything in terms of hp/tq. the bends used and the r&d is all that matters. if i were you, i'd just shop around and maybe buy a used cai. don't settle for cheap, it'll bite you in the ass at some point.

I gotta agree- you can get an AEM, an F5, or any number of other intakes from our members on here. There are like 3-4 used intakes right now.
