From what I recall reading here a long while back, danielj is correct. The piece is cheap, it just takes a bit of work to remove the bumper. None of this is from my experience, just recalling old posts.
I removed my front plate too. I went to Autozone and bought a variety pack of black plastic plugs for a couple of bucks [Dorman Part # 963-045, Chrysler, Ford, GM Panel Retainers]. It had two matching plugs with the right dimensions that fit pretty well against the bumper, with relatively shallow convex heads. I figure our law enforcement friends will "request" I put the plate back on, so I keep it with the spare tire along with the screws and a screwdriver so I can slap it right back on while we're discussing the merits of complying with the law.

Thanks, I'll check out some auto store I guess. The holes aren't very noticeable but my slight OCD wants them gone. I'm also keeping the plate in my trunk, but I don't have a screwdriver in there. I'll probably just put some zip ties in there or something, or find a cheap screwdriver.
