Well i skipped steps because i didnt understand them and figured when i got there i could do it

its number 16 for step1

"Remove Air director"

It shows a small piece but its really a huge piece and cannot get it off unless i rip out something... there is a bolt and is unacessable by any means, i can put my finger tip on it but that is it!

Then there is a smaller piece which i think its talking about but it doesnt come off Bolts are hidden behind the reinforment of the bumper perhaps

im going to go lay down underneath the car for another hour and see what happens

The dremmel is really close to the car

you should have taken off the bumper. it only takes 5 minutes and makes it 100x easier.

So you have to take the bumper off? arrrrrrrrrrrrgggggg. If its a big pain in the ass, then ill get the dealer to do it for me. How easy is it to change the filter once installed? you just take the wheel off or the entire bumper every time?

this is a standard 3 but im sure its very close. the first time it will take about 10 min. i think matt has wasted alot more time than that on 1 bolt. even with that bolt out, getting the resonator to come out is another pita.

I wish it was a 5 minute process. You need to remove a few bolts here and there, remove the bolts along the bottom as well and then you need to disconnect the stupid ass fog light wires from the front bumper and the ambient temperature sender wire. argh! sooooooo frustrating trying to get those loose, I took mine off and just cut the wire tie peices because there was no way i could get them unclipped with my big fingers.
drove me nuts, almost kept me from getting it off, but persistence paid off.

yeah takeing off the bumper isnt that hard, but the instructions didnt say too....
but i found a way to do it without takeing off the bumper :chuckles:
