One guy from my friend found
a used 2005 2.0l engine with 15k kms
and the tranny that goes with it for 500$! WOW! :p

I just bought it and I'm going to pick it up tommorow! I am in the process
of buying my internals and everything. I really can't wait for summer to come :klavergreg:

I just hopes I'll have news from Juan @ hiboost very soon as I am probably going to order
from him the internals, lsd, and gears...I just hope he'll answer my pm soon!

Stay tuned guys!

Good. This is the way to go. You can do the build with no hurries and just swap the engine and tranny once done. This is the way I did too.

E mail was sent with availability. Everything looks good.

Received the motor today.

Stripped the hell out of it, all the wiring was bad so I just cut everything
and will interchange with my own wiring...

Took the exhaust and intake manifold out, alternator too (if someones needs them pm me)

Unbolted the tranny, opened the tranny since I'll be putting a new clutch...

The motor is ready to go the the shop, I'll be waiting for my internals and then, let the fun begin!

stay tuned!

***Waiting impatienly for news from Juan, I'm ready to order!***

Guys I have a question! Since the intake manifold of the motor is broken,
woud it be possible to change it for an aftermarket one? I know cosworth as them
but I bet there are other company who offers a similar product for less?

Would I actually benefit from it or should I keep my money for something else?

I envy and hate you all at the same time. Did you get the engine for a salvage? I have been looking for a wrecked 3 to pull parts from but ppl want insane $$$ for them.

I'm no expert when it comes to our manifold, Mr. Tea is, but id say go for it if you have the money. But I'd ask Mr. Tea or Herb they are both very smart fellas from what I have read....

Shouldn't be hard to find a engine out of a 3 with so many being sold.

I found one 2.3 and the hillbilly wanted 2900$ for long block and tranny..... he called it "A good Deal".... Maybe its just the way I look at things but anything used shouldn't be that pricey

if it's a complete engine with wiring harness then that is about the norm.

Good. After waiting for those tools for long we finally were able to ship everything together.
Do not hesitate to ask anything about the installation of these parts. I have also access to all installation procedures which have to be done very carefully when installing the timing chain, cams and crankshaft.

Beware for another HIBOOST BEAST around!
