Guys I just finished piecing together and installing my turbo. The install took a couple days cause I ghetto rigged some shit. For example, my oil return line is a nut with 1/2" pipe thread JB Kwiked to the pan with a fitting in it for the oil return. Hopefully that'll stay put, I'm worried about teh vibrations and the shock but it's under almost no stress.

Anyways, I am running an SCI kit basically and I could bitch and moan all day. The pipe fitment SUCKS. All the pipes are just BARELY on. The maf location sucks, I had to extend the wires and buy longer screws. The downpipe has almost no free play in relation to the exhaust. The list goes on, I modified almost every pipe on there in some way to get this to work.

But, the turbo is on and pics will be up when I get the coolant lines intalled. Hoooooooooooooray!

Yea guys, I am pretty happy that the car is running. The great thing is that I had tuned the car for vacuum with the larger injectors before I put the turbo on, so after the turbo went on the car still drove completely fine, its just a little finnicky when i get into boost.

Boost threshold has nothing to do with the maximum boost pressure. Yea I can boost really low though, I haven't tested how low it goes though.

I'll hit 7psi in the same amount of time if I was going for 7 or if I was going for 20. The difference is it'd take me a bit longer to hit 20 if that was my goal.

The turbo is a mechanical part, its gonna spool up at the same speed every single time I drive my car. Lets say I hit 7psi at 2400 rpm. I'll hit it at 2400 rpm every single time I drive the car. If I get a boost controller and up the boost to 20 psi, I'll hit 7psi at 2400 rpm still and maybe hit 20 psi at 3000 rpm. Right now

wow! maybe a misunderstanding?

it will obviously take a bit more time to hit 20psi than it would to hit 7psi. most people though aren't running that....is he going to be hitting 7psi that much quicker than say 10psi.

I'm running the microtech, its all in my sig. I got the kit used off of jhershorin but the ecu i did on my own.

Does anyone happen to have a map for boost with 440 CC injectors, I sorta don't feel like doing everything in boost from scratch.
