Hi, new user and potential Mazda3 buyer. I was quoted these prices today (keep in mind this is Oregon and there is no sales tax), are these fair prices? This is my first time car buying (student)...

Mazda3 S sedan
4speed automatic
ABS package
Moonroof package
Sport package
Leather seats
Xenon package

=20,148

Another dealer quoted me for another Mazda3 S as such:

the exact same model and options (and color) *except* for leather for invoice plus $200. (ie, $19,141 +200 = $19,341 total).

Any insight will help this inexperienced buyer out. Thanks!

The first one listed, shows a invoice of $19,648. So at $20,148, your paying $500 over invoice.

The second one is the better deal imo. If you want leather, your gonna hafta work another deal. $500 over invoice is acceptable, but since your getting $200 over, why not work a deal with that dealership and trade for the one that had leather?

hi, thanks for the reply. These are initial quotes I was given to me by the dealers. I think I'll go to both of the dealers and show them what another dealer is offering and see if they'll match or beat it.

I think if you push hard enough you can buy one of these at invoice. I bought mine for $168 below invoice before applying rebates.
