I am in the market to buy a new car and I stumbled upon a 1996 Mazda Miata with 105,000 miles going for $3,000. I've never been a fan of Miata's but it's really the only car I can find for the price that meets my criteria of what I want from a car (must be manual and preferably rwd). Now I'm not too familiar with Miata's, so can somebody please shed some light on how they are as daily drivers? How are they in terms of reliability? Maintenance cost? Power? Gas mileage? If it has 105,000 miles, can I expect it to at least last good few years? Is $3,000 a fair price for a 105k mile 96-model miata?
