My daughters base model, Mazda 3 is having intermittent ac not blowing at all. .
So, yesterday, I pulled the cabin filter, filthy, leaves etc. Nothing. But, the cover above the filter, I pulled it and the AC started working fine.
What is that cover for? Seems to be just an inspection cover..
When I took it off, it immediately started working.
Is there something in these mazdas that will shut the AC down if there is too much back pressure? Then once relived it has a timer to restart?

That may have just been coincidence, check your AC compressor relay. Those don't fail all at once. They will only sometimes work before they stop working all together.

Swap the horn and AC relay because they are the see part number and right next to one another in the underhood fuse box, see if the symptoms come back.

I will try this thnx.
I also heard sometimes the ac controls have loose connections'. I have figure out how to take them out and ensure a better connection.
