Hi guys

I have (as the title suggests) a Mazda 3 2016 which, sadly, lacks an AC (it was imported from Canada, guess the folks over there didn't really need it). I've been looking into the possibility of installing one. Interestingly, the car does have the AC compressor. I was told by my mechanic, however, that there would be 2 major problems. Firstly, the dashboard would need to be removed during the job and attaching it anew would most likely be imperfect and it might get rattly and/or loose in the future. Secondly, it is not clear whether the computer module of the car can control an AC unit if one is installed. That is, it might be different from the module of a car that was manufactured with and AC.
So, what do you think about my situation? Is dashboard replacing bound to be imperfect? Is there a way to check if the computer module can control an AC and, if not, is replacing it with one that does possible at all?
