i know this is cuz the o2 sensor was disconnected, but anyone know how i can turn this off? will disconnecting the battery fix the problem?

you'll need a bung welded in for the second o2 sensor if you're pzev. you can't just start unplugging sensors and expect it not to fire off a cel.
