I'd rather not have a recall on my car. A lot of people realize the less you screw with a car, the less likely it is to have problems. You get a recall and that means you could get some bonehead tech who could botch the replacement. Of course, they have to pay for it but for all the headache and waste of time, it's not worth it. Drive your car...if it smokes under warranty, get it replaced.

definitely not a safety concern....the car is still drivable with a smoking turbo

now the drivers side transmission mount...THAT should be a recall...well, they issued it out for the 07...but IMO, it is FAR from a recall...

Turbo replacements are costly, I doubt Mazda would actually fix it. Probably switch over to heavier oil or something like that.
