So yesterday after washing/waxing my MS3, I took her out for a cruise. When I got back into the garage, I waited 30 seconds and then turned the car off (like always). As I get out of the car and start walking towards the door, all of a sudden it starts making a noise like the air conditioner inside of it was just turned on. It sits there and does that for about 5-10 seconds and then stops. WTF?

cooling fan? My grandma's old LeBaron would do that...fan came on to cool down the turbo.

yep, I"ve had my ms3 do that a couple of times as well. Since then I simply let it idle for longer after a hard run or highway travel.

Mine did that the other day after driving it kind of hard. When i stopped in my garage I let it sit for about a minute then turned it off. Out of nowhere I heard something that sounded like a vaccum I thought my neigbor was doing something outside. However it was just the car. First time I've heard it because its been 30 degrees for the last month and a half that I had it except for Sunday which was about 60.

Mine does that too after I've been driving for awhile. But I already figured it was a cooling device.

I can't believe you didn't know cars cool themselves off if they are too hot, let alone a turbo'd car. Check out the manual sometime it has some interesting facts about your car.
