I have been looking at prices of tires for our stock 17" rims and noticed that the prices are around $350 and up for the set of 4. I am just wondering if these prices are right and if I got totally hosed by the guy I bought my last set of tires from(Whom my dad has been doing business with for over 20 years). The two times I bought tires from him, which have been cheap continentals, I was charged from $160 to $185 a tire. I am not one to doubt others much and never did any research for myself so I just figured the low pro tires just cost more.
What prices have you all been paying to replace tires on your stock 17s?

Tire prices can range from $50 to $250 per tire, it all depends on which tires you get. Take a look at tirerack.com for an idea of the different tires you can get for your stock wheels. You can see if you can find the exact tire you bought and compare the price to see if you really got ripped off or not.

Just for comparison, the Goodyear Eagle RS-A tires that come stock on the MZ3 cost $185 each on tirerack. There are many much better tires for much cheaper.

EDIT: Note that tirerack prices don't include the cost of mounting and installation, which can run about $20 per wheel.
