i completely agree. now i have room for my line output converter, neon control unit, power converter for neons (all bolted to top of glove box), OBD-II code reader and even my manual. rock on mazda 8)
Do you guys have the GPS option tho? I think the glove box is so big b/c the computer hardware for the GPS is placed in the glove box reducing it to an average size.

And, I do not have the GPS and love the large glove box. hah.
psh!!!!! I have old school gps! A MAP BOOK! and my map book fits fine in the glove box!
yeah i still wouldn't mind a Group Buy for some kind of 'fake wall' for the glove box. Have a nice little secret compartment
^ But you can already lock it...

It would be cool to have a secret compartment behind the backseat armrest, like someone mentioned in the lounge (only they made one to hold a glock). :D

+1
I keep a baby in my glove box...for emergencies

I was also amazed at the size of the glove box. I might even try and fit my laptop in there - if I can then call it a geek car. :D
The first thought I had when I saw the glovebox in mine was 'I need a fake back/wall to create a hidden compartment'. Of course everyone I mentioned that to looked at me like I was a freak. It would be awesome if you did have something valuable in there (iPod, PDA or whatever).

Although, I have to admit, as soon as I thought about the false back idea, I kept hearing Rob Schneider from that skit on SNL years ago- "You put your weed in there!"

I'm also impressed at the trunk space in the sedan. It looks like it has none from the outside, but it is quite good too.
The glove box is PERFECT for me. It will house a mac mini and also have room for a gps receiver, and all my documents including the handbook and required documents. Like others said, have another lock for the back portion of the glove box for things like the computer i will be mounting back there.
I was kind of thinking about building a mini fridge for haha! :D
that huge glove box is one of the best feature that i adore of my 3
I wanna buy the refridgerated glove box option available in europe...

Anyone know anything about this?
The glove box in the 5 is pretty big too. Although, our bilangual bible-sized owner's manual takes about a third of the box. :(
I was going to get a Hatch so I could fit the dogs in the back. Now I can get a Sedan and just put them in the glovebox!
