Whenever I turn on my car and the amp kicks in the speakers have an annoying humming noise. It was working fine one day then then the next this started. The noise is consistant and does not change with the volume... then whenever I'm driving and give the car gas another sound kicks in and gets louder as my RPMs go up.

At first I assumed it was a ground loop however I checked all my grounds everything was fine... I followed this guide http://www.termpro.com/articles/noise.html and still nothing has changed. I was wondering that because I unhooked the amp that powers my subs a few days ago and am upgrading(I don't have the new one yet) could all the wiring from my sub amp be interfering with the one for my speakers. Could it be a bad input on my amp from the RCA's or could it even be a bad output on my Headunit. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated , thanks!

so disconnecting the amp got rid of the noise?
the whining sound that changes with RPM sounds like ground loop to me.
did you try a GLI?
did you try moving your grounds?

for the background noise...have you tried adjusting your gains?
can you describe your system?

Yes when I disconnected the amp it got rid of the noise. I moved all my grounds made sure any paint was removed. The background noise will go away when my gains are down all the way but I have never had to have them down before. my system consists of:

Headunit: Kenwood-DDX514 http://www.crutchfield.com/p_113DDX514/Kenwood-DDX514.html?search=ddx514&ssi=0&tp=20217
Speaker amp: kenwood -kac-6202 http://www.crutchfield.com/p_113KAC6202/Kenwood-KAC-6202.html?search=kac6202&ssi=0&tp=115
Speakers: JL Audio VR650-CSi http://outlet.crutchfield.com/p_136VR650CS/JL-Audio-VR650-CSi.html?cc=02&search=jl+audio+vr&ssi=0
