Uhhhhhhh think u forgot the detail that if you do give a shit about wearing it then you still have to listen to the annoying ass sounds everytime u get out.

I'm so glad i got the mod, now the only thing i have to hear is my system 8)

Yeah, and you'd be pretty screwed if you got into an accident without your seatbelt actually on, but in the buckeld position.

i took my car to the dealership in mentor,oh and they wouldn't do it because "Our service manager said it is a safety feature and we are not to reprogram any car that wants the TSB done" I was very pissed and told the guy im not a dumbfuck and wear my seatbelt when im going down the road but and i wanted to get rid of the sound cause its so damn annoying!! lol this is when i took my car there for several TSBs and they didnt cover the driveshaft click noise because of my leather shiftboot i put over the AT...lol my shiftboot makes my driveshaft click!! lets just say i havent been there since

Kikayss i just got it disabled, and you're right, they didn't charge me. On the way home i slipped off my seatbelt as i turned into my neighborhood, like i always do, and there was no annoying beep! And that is a beautiful thing 8)

Same here :) I was in there for something else anyway, maybe that's why they didn't mention a cost.
According to the service manual, there's quite a few things that can be programmed "off".

I don't have any input as to if it affects other systems of the car (ie, airbags..) but I agree that thing is damn annoying, and pointless. If you can't remember to put on your seatbelt when driving maybe you shouldn't be driving in the first place, what else are you fogetting to do?? I aslo always wear my seatbelt when in motion, its just plain stupid to not where it. But when i'm sitting in the driveway with the car in park I don't need the damn thing beeping at me, or when i'm driving back to my garage, or when i'm driving between two houses that are less than 100 ft between each other deliverying food.

Is there any other way to do this that doesn't involve cutting wires??

This is a funny thread and make me think there is more individual's suffering from Misophonia .
There is nothing programed in the ECU to turn on or off the seatbelt waring sounds. If anyone has found it please post EXACTLT where you found it. I looked at a few computer ECU program PIDS and NOPE!
Disconnecting the noise because you can't simply buckle up within at least a minute of staring your engine, are you that distracted? This thread is as bad as threads that people will drive countless miles with the engine check light on before actually seeking advise on what caused it?
Remember when this phrase came out, well maybe it is a good place to rejuvenate it?
