Anyone own a GS Sedan? How would I figure out the dealer invoice cost (in Canadian currency) without paying any fees to internet websites?

You know what man, I really don't know. I am not even sure that was the price of the GS I got. I am so lost with all the numbers you cannot even imagine!

I will try and find my paper!

So check back tomorrow morning... around 1pm... when I will wake up!

thanks to everyone who replied especially ken. i know you had to pay money for that information as i did the same too, but didn't check your response in time... I too got the same prices so we are in agreement.

Say Ken, what was your strategy to get 400 over invoice? I plan to show them the dealer cost sheet that i got from carcost, and ask them if i can get the car at invoice price. Most likely, he won't go for it, so then i will plan to increase in $50-100 increments until both the salesman and me meet in the middle.. is that what you did? Your response would be greatly appreciated.

I'm hoping for 1000 dollars off.

I was looking at these options.
(total price is shown = MSRP + price of options)
looks like 1000 dollars should be easy to get off? Or possible?

$18,548.84 - GX + A/C + front rear mud guards + Convenience package + lip spoiler.

$19,290.34 - GS + A/C + rear mud guards + lip spoiler

And there's talk about a cost for putting on the accessories... is this necessarily true? or should I Ask them to do this for free also?

It is correct $700 over invoice, depending on options it can be close to $1000 off
To have $700 over invoice you should know a dealer invoice.
so that message is not really right for all since every vehicle has diferent invoice.
But be more close to yor savings I would really think that if you ask for $$600-900 before tax of MSRP you'll be in good shape. Dont forget an Admin fee. If dealer charge them then you loosing your money of discount. exp: if admin is 250 the from discount of 900 you uctualy getting only 650 plus tax.

any questions let me know

okay, more questions :)
1) should I ask them to remove the admin fee?
2) when do I "present" my asking price? when we sit down to try to work out a deal?
3) I'm thinking 600-900 off MSRP would be good... but is that a good number without options? Or does that estimate for options as well? :)
