Legal limit here in South Carolina is 27% on sides and back, no tint allowed on windshield (except for strip at top).

I told the tint shop I wanted it down to the limit so I think I'm rolling at about 25% all around except windshield. I'll post pics later when I'm not at work...

Nothing is allowed on the front windows, I have 20% on the front and 5% on all the back windows. I'll post some pics once I get my new Tsudo N1 Catback Exhaust installed this week. I'm so excited!

guys, need I remind you all that this thread is about who has legal tint NOT illegal tint. IMO, going darker than the legal limit is just stupid, and generally asking for trouble. I dont know about all of you, but I didnt enjoy getting pulled over for illegal tint a few months ago.

:/ In ca no tint is allowed on the front 2 windows.
So you think if i do it 50 % in front and 15 in back it will give it a good enough contrast to make it so they wont mind? ha, oh yeah and i want your rims.

What isn't illegal these days, soon you're going have to pay "air" tax....

Nevertheless, I got 15% all around and I'm fine- got a medical reason. I'm in Chicago so the cops are cool with it- suburbs is another story....

I'm going to get them redone myself to limo- at least the rear windshield.

I agree here to an extent. I believe going darker than the limit is stupid because it gives an officer probable cause to pull you over, and in SC, any and every time you are pulled over it must be documented. So I'd like to stay below radar in that regards. I wish the limit was a bit lower though, 15% would be just right. But hey, I'm right at the legal limit, and I was pulled over the other day (got a warning because he said I wasn't going fast enough to get a ticket, but he wanted me to slow down) and I had no problems with my tint apparently. So yeah, sometimes it sucks to not be able to go darker, but like demo said, getting pulled over for illegal tint sucks.

^ Limit is 32% here. I put 45% on.. just because I dont want to get pulled.

Twelveinch: lmao @ air tax. It'll be more like "clean air tax".. but same thing ;).

Zer0id: 50% is still noticeable.. trust. You'd need to put 70% on there to have it not really noticeable.

That's what I have and I haven't been bothered about it. Generally, the cops don't mind so long as your fronts are noticeably lighter than the rears. The only people I've seen pulled over had the same all around.

To all you all with dark front tints...who ya hiding from? :p

Dude, I've been pulled over several times and I live in Cali, didn't get a ticket (knock on wood), Santa Barbara are known for very ANAL police :angrypoint:, I just give them the "but I just bought this car" or I just try to keep low key :hide: when driving in SB, but eveywhere else, I don't have to worry

I'm at 35% which is completely legal. I wanted 25% which is what's legal in TX, but the shop I took it to didn't have 25%. I was kinda pissed, but went with 35% again (this was a re-tint, I've had my car long enough that the previous tint was bubbling and turning purple)
