I am seeing people claim three friction washers on the crank but on some manuals I am only seeing two.
I took off the crank pulley and was surprised that there wasn't a washer. I know there should be two remaining after I take off the timing cover.
Today I plan on taking off the timing cover and replace some timing components and this washer situation confused the heck out of me. If I only find two, should I put in three anyway?
Anyone can confirm?
The car I am working on is a Mazda 3 manual 2.3L non turbo hatch.
Thanks!
