How Long To Ship

1961 Views 18 Replies 10 Participants Last post by  leofaye
My speed was built 12/21/06 and is still in Japan. How long did it take you to get yours? I saw told that it will be here in late Feb and this is good for me so I can use my tax money. I have a good dealer that has called every time it is updated on there tracking. The mod will be new tires and tint 5% on the rear 20% on the front. I live in a small town so the cops don't pick over the tint.

my car shipped from japan on 10/2, it arrived at my dealer 11/11
Per leofaye:

On-board vessel BRAVERY ACE: 12/03/2006 (in Japan)
Arrived Port Jersey, NJ: 01/06/2007
Released from port: 01/08/2007
Picked up by truck: 01/10/2007

It's about a month transit to the East Coast, but also depends on which port your car is delivered. I remember leofaye saying there was a stop in Jacksonville, so it maybe be a little shorter for you.

Good luck, I know wait is killing you. Mine should be here sometime today-Saturday.

Hey Speed3hokie how did you track that?
I would like to take credit, but leofaye did all the dirty work. Wish I could help.

Take a look at the "EAST COAST: TO ALL WAITING YOUR MS3 (JANUARY-FEBRUARY)" posting below. leofaye gave some great information. Hopefully that will give you some insight.
Cool thanks. I looked at that thread and tried to sign up for the tracking of the VIN# but never go a response from the company. Thanks anyway.
Unfortunately, they never responded to me neither.
My car left Japan on 12/8. Arrived at the dealership on 1/5.
******* I just posted on other thread.

I don't know if it's right or wrong, but my rep was saying early-February arrival.
If he's right, yours ought to arrive similar/earlier than that, because mine had 12/26 build date.
Thanks for the info. My dealer said he would call as soon as it on the water. I will post when he calls.
Bummer... I just talked to a customer service rep. He said there is no port arrival date in the system, which means mine isn't yet on the water. :x
JB,

Ours was built on the 28th, planned to depart Japan on the 16th according the awesome Suzanne. She says 6 weeks is a good working number once it gets on the boat, although from what I can tell, there is a month of that spent on the boat. Actually, just looking at the prev posts, that lines up pretty well.

Yours and ours will most likely be on the same ship...

YtC
my car was made 10/20, shipped 11/20, at post 12/15, at dealer, 2 hours away, 12/22.
Got e-mail from dealer yesterday, on water. Due in port 2-3 weeks. Build date 12/21.
Awesome. Expect about 30 days to deliver then. Congrats!
Hope mine is on the same boat I will call Monday to see.
On the water 1/9 so I hope its smooth sailing for the next few weeks.
Just wondering if anyone knows where the ship docks for us southern folk. Houston?

I believe you folks get your cars railed from either LA or JAX.
It takes a lot of time to sail that big-ass sea they call GULF OF MEXICO.
