Technically, the mazda3's travel less to get to Hawaii than the mainland. Is it because there is less competition? I may be moving out to the big island in a couple months and was planning on selling everything including the auto and just going with a few personal items but after looking at the local dealer ads, It seems pretty ridiculous. Even with the $1000 for shipping it would still be thousands less to buy and ship a mazda3 from calif than if I was to by a mazda3 hatch on the big island. What gives? I know cost of living a bit more than Calif. but the auto prices are crazy.

dont complain, you live in paradise. The only thing that sucks about Hawaii is there isnt any MLB teams there. Or any professional sports there.
