I know there's not a lot of information on this suspension. We're building a 2009 MS3 to compete in the Redline Time Attack series.
HKS has decided to support our effort and given us a set of Hipermax III sport coil-overs. Here are various photos for people to check out. I'll update thoughts on the suspension once it is installed. The fit and finish and machining on these is top notch!
Check out my Flickr album for more photos.

They list for $2275.00. I'm not sure on the drop. We'll find out when we install them. One unique aspect of the Hipermax III Sport is they're tuned specifically for track use. It will be interesting to see how comfortable they are on the street.

Are those adjustable? I don't see it on their site here... http://www.hksusa.com/products/more.asp?id=3437

That housing is THICK, though. Might have clearance problem if people wanna run aggressive wheels. I guess it's cause they are monotube, too.

Indeed they are Monotube which explains the heft. The shock body is also threaded and they adjust in height from the lower housing. Which also adds thickness.

The shocks are adjustable both front and rear in 30 steps and I believe it adjust compression and rebound at the same time.

You should contact HKS about that then. Their site didn't list that but they did list other suspension kits with "30-way adjustable dampening" other than the Sport version.

Shocks came back from the Dyno. The adjustment covers both rebound and compression. The shocks are also very well matched per pair. Front left and right being very close to each other, rear left and right the same.

Damping force is very high so it will be interesting to see how they ride on the street.

We'll have the suspension installed by Thursday the 25th.
