At highway speed, a few times at very low speeds also, my 6 S does a sudden jerk to the right almost like hitting a very deep rain puddle with the right front tire. It normally does it in-between accelerating and slowing down at a level speed. It is really bad when using cruise control. It started this at 121K and Mazda replaced the rack, then at 122K they replaced that rack and now at 136K I am having the same problem again for the 3rd time and naturally Mazda is not warranting the rack and blaming it on the car due to high miles but this is the 3rd rack-n-pinion that has done this and I do not believe it could need a 4th rack at 136K miles. Most of the mileage is highway miles anyway.

An avid GM mechanic says it sounds like the “steering speed sensor” but I cannot locate anything about that on line. Suggestions anyone? Please feel free to email me at [email protected].
