Ugh.... I'm sick of the silver. My Protege's silver and the silver 3 just doesn't do it for me. That's why I'm going with Titanium :) . Start up a page at cardomain.com and you can link your pictures from there. Congrats on the purchase.
Congrats! Silver looks good at night :)
COngrats!!

I've noticed that on mine as well. Uneven breaking going on?

JT
Your new toy!

Congrats on the new Mazda3.

Other than the middling gas mileage on the streets (probably due to my right foot--tee hee  )

Strato Blue (looks ungodly at night under street lights), HB, 5 speed, with ABS/Bags and Moonroof/CD changer package.

I get brake dust on all four wheels, but a little more in back. I engine brake a lot, so I hope this doesn't mean the pads are fragile...

Have fun and avoid John Q Laws

I'm getting less gas mileage than I did with my previous 7 year old Z24 Cavalier, and I've been going easy on the gas pedal. Hmmm... :?

JT
I get about 240 miles out of a tank of gas if I drive only in the city and
300-340 miles in mixed driving. With gas $2.17 a gallon in Sunny CA, I'm really feeling it every time I fill up.

:x

Another thing is I have not been able to fill over 13 gallons into the tank, even when I'm snorting fumes. I'm wondering if they exagerated the tank size, in which case we are getting better mileage than we think...

You're getting up to 28mpg in mixed driving, I get 32, same car (Canadian gallons). About what most get, and within the range of the rating by Mazda (well, maybe a little less, but their numbers are based on perfect driving characteristics).

Hmmm...I don't understand this. I lived in Sacramento in 89-91, and have been back to visit several times over the years. One thing I always noticed was the gas was MUCH cheaper there than in Michigan. Sometimes it was 15-20 cents cheaper per gallon. I think the AM/PM stations were always the cheapest. Here in Michigan now the average price is right around 1.86 this week (went up to 1.89 on Tuesday after being 1.69 for a few days).

Anyway...is gas typically cheaper in nothern Cal?

JT
typically more expensive...

and you should feel lucky... gas here in phx is at 2.05 a gal, highest i've ever seen it, and they're predicting it'll go higher... thanks CA!!
(phx gets most of its gas from CA refineries, so we pay CA prices)

SACRAMENTO REPRESENT!!!! Gas here is about 10-20 cents cheaper than it is in the bay area, and of course the AM/PM's are gonna be the cheapest. Sacramento is, after all, Arco country (i.e. Arco Arena) so always expect Arco to be the cheapest. Right now it's been fluxuating between $1.99-$2.07...... by no means CHEAP, but better than I'm used to.

And HiddenHonger, congrats again on the car. The extra brake dust on the rear wheels has been well documented on here and other sites, and if the squeaky brakes are the front ones there should already be a TSB out regarding that issue. Drive hard..... ZOOM-ZOOM

Damn, that sucks. So far this week it's already fallen to 1.81 from a high on Tuesday at 1.89. I hate this cycle...bump it up 15-20 cents in one day, and then over the next week or two they slowly drop the price by 10 cents or so. Then, another bump up 15-20 cents. The next time they'll probably bump it from 1.75 to 1.95.

JT
haha yea i got it made lucky, i fill up my car with ULTRA 94 for $1.77 at sunoco! thats F**ING cheap, haha thats better that super, and the super up here in jersey is 1.71 depending where u are!
