I am going to be ordering an HID kit for my 2006 MAZDA 3i Touring (auto). When getting an HID kit...is it for the low-beam or high-beam. I don't want to get the wrong kit since the one is H7 and the other is 9005. So, which beam is the HID kit for (replacing which bulb), high beam or low beam bulbs?? I will be ordering tomorrow so please help!! Thank you.

you need the H7 kit for replacing the low beams. 9005 is high beams. most people just replace the low beams anyway.

In order to do the high beams (which is overkill IMHO) you'd need to retrofit projectors in there, as HIDs in reflector lens bowls don't work very well.

There is not much point in doing the high beams; the HID kit adds a lot of intensity for the low beams already almost makes the high beams obsolete. If you are looking for just the look I recommend replacing your high beams with HID match bulbs :)
