Hey guys, I normally dont ever post anything on this site because most of the questions I have are already answered somewhere on this site, but I gotta speak up on this one because I finally ordered the hiboost kit from Juan. Everything is true about the time it takes to get a hold of him, but it is so worth it once I found out how nice he was. I know its not that big a deal to you guys, but I just had to tell someone that wouldn't criticize me about the money. Another thing is I really appriciate all the information people give to this site and the hard work people put into the how-to's and maintaining the site, so thanks a lot. The kit should be in sometime next week hopfully, so THANK YOU JUAN!

Have read it but thanks anyway. Do any you guys have any specific tips to make the install as smooth as possible?
take your time!
solder your electrical connections, throw out those wiretaps.
you dont think wire taps would be able to hold them as well as soldering
Those taps will work fine if done right, all mine are ok. I didn't do ANY soldering.

As a matter of fact I used these on my injectors cause I was getting tired (5 am), but I decided to leave them.

The new kits come with only 4 wires to be tapped into the ECU. TPS signal, O2 memory wire, Tach adapter wires (2).

There is a harness for the injectors so no tapping for injectors :klavergreg:

It will be very simple to go back to stock for Emissions test purposes.
alright, thanks a lot. Anybody know if there are holes to be drilled for the intercooler piping to go through. I saw the directions but for the ms protege and it said drill holes in body.

they will work, but both our mechanics say they corrode over time and they can lose connection. That will make it hell trying to chase down a problem. Solder and heatshrink is failsafe. Either way, good call with the Hiboost kit.

Haha, no they won't. The kind I use don't have any metal in them, they'll last forever.
I would do a mock up when you get the parts.. lay everything out and see what you have.. then double check.. then see what it will take to do the installation correctly. Seriously make sure you have every clamp, nut, screw, hose etc.. before you even think about starting.
^^ adding, even check to make sure you have the correct turbine, mine was the wrong one, I would have had a lot of problems if I didn't look closely.
:eek4:
use lock tite on your nuts and bolts. You dont want to be chasing down loose stuff.

Our bolts are lock type style. No need to use Loctite in ours.
