Not totally. If you have a short-throw shifter, the added weight to the shorter fulcrum makes finding the gears a lot smoother. I cringed at the cost of my TWM know at first, but it made a huge difference in shifting feel.

I'd rather find a machine shop, go there, get one custom made with my initials that glows in the dark and is made of carbium composite carbon fiber aluminum iridium, and it would still be less.
