alright, as many of you know, the cdn spec(i'm not sure with the american spec) 07 3's use the high beams at half power as day time running lights. this causes me troubles because i find the halogen bulbs to be very poor when the highbeams are actually needed at night and i wanted to install an HID kit, but once again, the fact that highbeams are used as DRL's prevents me to do so. so my question is, has anyone somehow done a re-wire so that the fog lights could be used as DRL(as many vehicles have these days) and the high beams would be used solely for there HIGH BEAM purpose so that i can put an HID kit in?? thanks in advance. please let me know if any clarification is needed.

independent fogs isn't what i need, it's the high beam plus HID problem described above. but thank's for trying.
