If you use a rubbing compound on paint then it will haze the surface. Especially if you did it by hand with a terry cloth.

In order to fix this you will need to use a polish intended to remove the haze. A light swirl removal, scratch remover, or fine polishing compound should help.

I would use a soft applicator that the product recommends and follow the directions carefully.

Rubbing compounds are generally the most aggressive so be careful when using this and don't apply excess pressure on the paint or it will surely get scratched and hazed "white".

The ideal solution would be a light swirl removing polish that's applied by machine, though I think it can be fixed by hand.
