So, was driving last night here, a rainy night in michigan. I have a fujita CAI, just for refrence. Anyhow was shifting into third and poped out of gear. Imidiatley after my shift bounced off third the check engine light came on i was less then a block from my house so drove it home and noticed my car was idling funny. What could it be, maybe intake sucked up some water? messed with the ignition coil? i dont know any ideas guys.

not enough information to go on. just get your car scanned. that is the ONLY way to know what's going on. we can guess all day and not get anywhere.

+1 for the scan. Autozone will do it for free, hit them up, get the code printed out, and post up
Figured it out....got it scaned at autozone. Some how one of the wires running to the MAF snaped, found it when i took a look this morining. Its on wire harness clip that plugs into the sensor. I think i might be able to just re run/attach that one wire. If not ill figure it out, i was just buggin.
Hmmm... Not uncommon, makes me want to add more slack to my Maf wires.
If you add more slack get some wires with a higher strand count, it will give them more flexibility....
you might've done 2 things: you've severed a maf wire, and sucked up enough water/mist/droplets to cool/touch the hot wire on the MAF to give you the CEL: MAF high input circuit.

Well i tried re-wiring, just kind of jury rigged it cause i couldnt get the wire out of the female clip. So i just sodered it for now and the engine idles fine but when i get on the throttle i still dont get very good response and the engine bogs a little. Check engine light is still on. So im just going to put my stock airbox back on take it to the dealership, see what happens. I thought about just getting a whole new female connecter for the wiring harness and re-wiring but the car still has the warranty so id rather just take it to the dealership. What do you think?
oh and the guy at autozone said he was getting low input from the MAF sensor if that helps
Read this to remove your wires off the connector.

Then reset your ECU after you've fixed everything.
