I always wanted heated seat after I drove my sister vw jetta ,the victim speed3 front passenger seat, so I tried today to get it done, but the warmer was not the correct size for the seats, but anyhow here a ugly pictures of our car seats without the leather, the only hard part is removing the hog rings, just waiting for parts,
hey maybe I can switch to cloth seat like the sport if I get tired of leather, wonder if mazda just sell the car seats covers

I just notice this that the back of the seat is zippered both left and right make it easy for access

yes I know the car is dirty

So finally got this project finish yes!!, it would probably take me a fullday seen I'm a newbie , the total cost for the dual heated seat was $260 SHIPPING INCLUDED, the instruction say that OEM switch can be use if you are only possible if you are electrically inclined, and know what you doing, also the heating element have a pressure switch therefore the seat heater will not activate if the seat is not occupied, I tried it the seat just is warm a bit when no passenger

as you can see picture below the switch blacknest matches the other switch on the car which is a perfect match, the look from the inside, it looks like it originally came with the car

So my Car is very spoiled and special

here the finish product :bananadance: :bananadance: :bananadance: :bananadance: :bananahump: :bananahump:     :bananadance: :bananadance: :bananadance:

nice work.. so it was 260 for both???

not too bad... How difficult would you say it is? Lots of wiring work, or mostly plug and play because of existing harnesses? etc?
ya 260 , not that difficult < I seen too many pimp my ride show in MTV> mostly plug and play I connected the 12 volt to the side panel on driver side , which will only work when ignition key is turn on

so the speed3's don't come with heated seats???? thats my favorite feature of my 3 :( now you're making me not want to buy one!!
If you can't produce heat from the adreneline rush of actually driving the MS3 then you shouldn't consider buying one in the first place.

I always feel like the guy in the bmw commercial that is all tired and pounding water after a spirited drive. Heated seats are nice novelty, but I will take my engine over any luxery feature that comes in a regular mazda 3.
