Make it look like a sedan in what way?

Anyway, the wagon and the sedan do not share any bodypanels in common at all, so you'll prolly have an easier time with the ms3. Sooner or later someone will put a bodykit on a speed3 and sell the oem parts.

all you have to do is get sedan fenders, hood, and bumper.

Blasphemy! Just 'caus Ugly Betty is a hit on TV, does not give you the OK to make a Hatch look sedanny. I understand your dilema with the CF hood, but a nose job is not the way to go. :(

^^^ body lines on the sedan fenders wont match up with the doors on the hatch. mazda didnt cheap out on the design much like the vw golf and jetta. you can swap with speed3 parts though.

it's not cheaping out. it's keeping things cost effective. having 2 different designs would cost a lot of money which gets passed on to the consumer. the front doors on the hatch and sedan are identical. it will match up.

Not to be argumentative, but take a look at a few pics before you stand by that statement. I'm pretty sure we share no body panels.

EDIT:

Sedan S Sport $17650, Hatch S Sport $18140. Seems like the sportier body gets passed on to the consumer for $490. Sweet bargin, IMHO. :D

im talking about 2 completely different designs that have nothing in common. also, you're paying for having a "sportier" car. hatches always cost more than sedans.

So, who's side are you arguing? :?

Sorry, couldn't find a quick clear sedan. But I think it illustrates the point. If you think those two doors are interchangable, you best not be working in a bodyshop. :D

Ok, I'm gonna weigh in again.

I went out to lunch and carefully examined a stray yellow sedan in the park and ride. Now, I not only compared the shape, but the lines where it met the door and the fender. luckily there was a space next to it so I could park and compare. nto considering the shape of the panels, it may be possible to take off the entire front end and replace it with the other. the panels seem to have the same lines along the door, side of the fender. The rest is very different. I took pics but left he cam in the car. If anyone wants me to post them, I will get the camera.

One of the things that is deceiving is the side flares on the hatches. Some sedans don't have them so it looks like the fender lines on the bottom are different, but they are not.

So, after much deliberation and anxiety, I think the front end is swappable, but it would need to be the entire thing, including the lights.

But still sealy is right, hatches are special, and not in a short bus way.

martha focker!!!

i'll say this. they are swapable, however, the actual horizontal body line MIGHT be off b/c of that "flare" on the hatch although i THINK sedans have it too.
